Hitting
With over 20,000 lessons given i have experienced a wide range of movement patterns and we see each hitter is still unique. The physics behind the mechanics are applied while not disrupting the natural flow of the body. Teaching a fundamentally sound effortless swing that is repeatable and effective for all levels. We want to create effortless power through our ability to use the ground and manipulate kinetic energy as it moves through each segment of the body. Video is very effective with showing pitfalls hitters can run into when working on mechanics. Players in my program will also get approach, recognition and everything hitting. Building a foundational blueprint that will give even the most unsure hitter the ability to become more confident and take command over their batters box.
Pitching
Pitching is much like hitting when talking about the way the body moves. Teaching functional mechanics that work with the path of least resistance of each player is key. Using video to show key requirements that pros use vs what students do is a vital part of development. Metrics are a huge part of pitching and understanding what the ball is doing once it leaves the hand is crucial in identifying underlying issues that may be there. Correcting the mirroring process for each pitcher by giving them a clear understanding on how to repeat each pitch with successful intent and keep hitters unbalanced and confused.
Fielding & Defense
Every baseball player whether they play infield or outfield should train like an infielder. Focusing on footwork and glove work. The ability to dance when you field is understanding the key components professionals use to maintain the low error tally we see from the best in the game. Glove presentation and how the wrist functions is key in everything fielding, tagging, and transferring with the baseball. Correct fielding posture with the spine and hip hinging adds a smooth adaptability through fielding to transition into throwing to create effortless power. We train the brain to operate on the diamond to think quickly and have a smooth easy internal clock that doesn’t ever get rushed for time. Slow rollers are a prerequisite for the high level player and we see a big decline with our youth players performing the different variations correctly on a baseball field. We leave no stone unturned when it comes to defensive play even for the strictly outfielders crew. Outfield crow hops, over the shoulder catches, recovery drills for those bad routes, proper footwork, and mindset that will give any player the jump, correct read on the ball, and how to manage dead time in between pitches.
Speed & Agility
Learning how to run properly while adding strength and explosiveness with light load kinetic training will add one more advantage to your game. Jumping power output equals speed. We offer a large variety of training techniques and areas: Form Running, Jump Training, Power Running, Lateral Quickness, Speed Training...just to name a few!
Strength & Conditioning
Getting bigger and stronger is the name of the game. By using the right amount of aerobic and anaerobic exercises, an athlete will build both slow twitch and fast twitch muscle fibers. This will keep them quick and explosive which equates to POWER.
Nutrition Counseling
Eating the right foods before and after training can be a tool to help in the growing process. Good fats, good carbs, and protein are on the menu. Good food is fuel for any athlete trying to get that competitive edge.
